Spiced Sweet Potato Pancakes1

When I’m not speaking my feelings, I might be eating them. It occurs; you might be able to connect. And do you know what? It’s perfectly normal to accomplish it every once in a while.
Last week We ate a whole bag of popcorn because I didn’t want to think about my to-do list since it seemed unmanageable; like if I even viewed it I would cry because I simply didn’t know the place to start. So, I visited the shop and bought a handbag of popcorn. Did it make me feel better? Sure! Was it good? Certainly! I ate my feelings and the overwhelming thoughts went away.
For some time, anyway.
I thought for a while and understood that We shouldn’t waste my time worrying about the what-ifs and items that are completely from my control. What I will be focusing on is the small moments, filling my heart with joy and embracing what comes my way. I can only do so very much. Eating my emotions shouldn’t turn into a habit.
So I told myself that everything was going to be okay. That no matter what happens, it’ll be alright. Consuming my emotions wasn’t going to obtain my dishes done, clean my house or discover me a new one in Chicago. The snacks was never going to solve anything because it couldn’t speak or do anything for me. It was pointless problem resolving.
So this past week I produced conscious effort to start my times out happy. I produced the choice to undertake a few little stuff on my to-do list every single day. It’s produced a huge difference. I’m choosing to improve! I also affiliate pancakes with my Dad and childhood, therefore cooking food up a batch in the morning brings me only great warm fuzzy feelings. For reals. Talk about a feeling booster.
In addition, I’m a huge fan of chai-spice and it’s so easy to recreate the spices in the home. All you have to is just a little cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, nutmeg and cloves. Mmmm hmmm… can you envisage these matched with a chai-spice latte?
Begin your weekend out with warm fuzzy feel great feelings from these sweet potato pancakes. Greatest topped with toasted pecans and a drizzle of real maple syrup. Enjoy!
Chai-Spiced Lovely Potato Pancakes

1 1/4 cups white whole wheat flour or whole wheat pastry flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 tablespoon coconut oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup mashed, cooked nice potato (about 2 medium nice potatoes)
In a large bowl, whisk jointly flour, baking natural powder, sodium and spices. Within a medium dish, combine almond milk, egg, coconut essential oil, maple syrup, vanilla, and mashed nice potato until easy. Add wet elements to dry elements and combine until just combined. Batter will be dense, however if it’s way too thick add a tablespoon or two of dairy.
Lightly coat a big non-stick skillet or griddle with butter or cooking spray and heat over medium. Drop batter by 1/4 glass onto skillet. Cook until bubbles show up at the top, about 2 minutes. Turn cakes and prepare until golden brown on underside, 2 minutes. Clean skillet clean and do it again with an increase of melted butter and staying batter. Makes 10 pancakes, 2 pancakes each.
